Is Microsoft Defender enough?

Microsoft Defender is a solid, real-time antivirus — keep it on. Here is where a second layer of detection and review helps, and what XiGuard honestly does and does not add.

01

Defender does the heavy lifting

On Windows, Microsoft Defender is your real-time antivirus and it is genuinely good. XiGuard never replaces it, disables it or adds exclusions — Defender keeps blocking, and we keep watching.

02

Where a second layer helps

One engine cannot see everything. XiGuard adds extra checks on files and downloads, browser extensions and per-process network activity — and shows what each check found, including anything that could not run.

03

You stay in control

XiGuard detects and reviews; it never deletes or blocks on its own. An unknown or unsigned file is not automatically malware — you see the evidence and decide the next step.

04

Honest about the boundary

No tool, layered or not, can promise zero risk. XiGuard's job is to make a threat easier to catch early and explain it clearly — not to guarantee you will never be hit.

Protect what you can't afford to lose.

XiGuard adds a detection-and-review layer on top of the antivirus you already have. Windows is the first platform.
